Interim IT Management

Fletcher Heath has experienced professionals available as interim IT managers for periods of days, weeks or months either on a part-time or on a full-time basis.

The need for an interim management service may arise as a result of a number of different circumstances such as the need to fill-in for a short period due to succession, retirement or sickness. It is also often beneficial to bring external, experienced and senior managers into the organisation to achieve particular goals such as to help establish new processes or methods.

Some of the circumstances that we have found where the use of short-term interim IT management has been beneficial include:

  • to add weight and experience to a particular initiative
  • to operate as an independent 'man Friday' to the existing IT management team
  • to help train and support permanent staff
  • to manage the transition to outsourcing contracts
  • to implement recommendations resulting from third-party consultants
  • to implement new processes and procedures including quality assurance, contingency planning, risk management and information security
  • to help the IT department to become more commercially aware
  • to help support a short-term project such as the role-out of head-office systems to a number of regions
  • to 'troubleshoot' particular issues
  • to help assimilate different organisations during periods of mergers or acquisitions.

We can support these initiatives with any of the conventional IT roles, such as development or operations roles, in either a mainframe, client/server or desktop environment in a single location or across multiple locations.

As with all of our projects, you can be assured that our consultants will always be business oriented, commercially aware and focused on achieving a successful outcome for you.
